Logic is closely related to proofs within mathematics and is
used by all of us in everyday life. It allows us to deduce and calculate a
rational and desirable outcome in a given situation. Here are some important
aspects of logic use in everyday life:
- It enables clear thought through a rigorous demand for truth.
- Because thought processes are clarified, the use of logic enables consideration of all available options for opinion and action, and decreases the persuasive power of popular opinion.
- Because available options have been fairly considered, the use of logic increases the likelihood that subsequent opinions and actions will adhere most closely to the truth.
- Therefore, logic's relevance to everyday life is that its use improves the likelihood of satisfactory outcomes in the day-to-day decisions each person makes.

I was never that great with logic puzzles. I can only get so far before I get too frustrated with them. Of course, I'm also not very good at cross-words, either. I do, however, love Sudoku. I understand Spock's logic, but figuring out who didn't do what takes me a long time.
ReplyDeleteI like the layout of the blog. Including the recent comments and the poll at the top is a cool feature. Also, I like how you included logic games. Logic games can be fun or extremely frustrating. I tried to kill your fish by feeding them too much but they just kept eating. If they die in the next couple hours, that's my fault.
